Glorious Goathland

I designed this piece after I had been for a walk in Goathland, on the North York Moors. This place is where I feel most at home, as my grandfather was born on a farm on Bradbury Hill. My favourite childhood memories are of walking in August through the honey scented heather and the steam from the old steam engines of the Moors railway, towards the tumbling stream at Darnholm.

To make this wave, I will create the shapes, attach them to the flat glass and fuse the design. It is then fired again to shape it, and will be cold worked.
