Heather haze

One of my most cherished memories is of walking near Young Ralph Cross on High Danby Moor, in the North York Moors National Park. In August they are covered in heather, which sooth all your senses with a tapestry of colour, sounds of bees and the divine scent of molten honey.
These curves can be ornaments, they can have candles placed behind to let the mellow glow, bring the glass to life, or be unique platters.
Each piece is lovingly designed and hand crafted in the North East of Great Britain.
To make this wave, I will cut stencils, fire the shapes, attach them to the flat glass and fuse the design. It is then fired again to shape it, and will be cold worked.
Due to the manufacturing processes involved, the colour and design represented can change slightly, as each piece is unique.
